Chicken Biryani Recipe
Hey guys, welcome back to the new recipe of chicken. So today we are serving new recipe of chicken that is the Chicken Biryani. It is one of the largest “Chosen Dishes” in India. Every age of people likes Chicken Briyani. So, here is the perfect and delicious and a healthy recipe. Briyani is a a delicious dish made by mixture of Indian Spices, vegetables, meat and rice with its origins throughout the Indian subcontinent.
Following is Chicken Biryani Recipe instructions for the beginners.
- Fresh Chicken (1/2 Kg for 4 Persons)
- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 2 tablespoon Ghee/Oil
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric
- 3 tablespoons Yogurt
- 1 ¼ tablespoons Ginger Garlic Paste
- Salt as per taste
- 1 or ¼ tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tablespoon Briyani Masala
- one onion (big size) sliced
- 2 Bay Leaf
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 1 Star Anise
- 4 Green Cardamoms
- ¾ teaspoon caraway seeds
- 4 to 6 cloves
- 1 strand mace
- 2 tablespoon fried onions
- 1 green chili
- 3 cups water
- Coriander, fried cashew nuts, fried almonds for garnishing
First step is to marinate the chicken: In a bowl, add to ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, ½ teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon briyani masala and 3 tablespoon yogurt. Mix it well. If you needed more taste to the marination Take the fresh chicken and gash it and now apply the marinating paste on it. Keep this marination for an hour or either you can also preserve for overnight in the refrigerator.
Tip for making biryani masala: Take a nutmeg, 5 cloves, 2 small pieces of cinnamon, 5 cardamoms, half teaspoon fennel seeds, and half teaspoon pepper together and make a fine powder of it.
Second step for Chicken Biryani: Take a pot or a cooker. Now start on the heat or a flame of a gas. Let the pot heat it up, now add 2 tablespoon oil or ghee. After that add ¾ teaspoon caraway seeds, 2 bay leaves, 5 cardamoms, 5 cloves, 1 small piece of cinnamon, 1 strand mace and 1 star anise in the oil and mix it well. After this, add the sliced onions to it and cook it well till the color of onion get light brown. While, the onion is cooking stir it often. Now add some turmeric powder, chili powder and half teaspoon biryani masala and mix it well. Now cook it for 2 minutes.
Furthermore, add the marinade chicken and sauté for five minutes on a medium flame. Now cover the pot with the lid and cover the chicken for more 5 minutes to get it soften on a low flame.

Now further, you have to add little curd, mint one green chili, red chilli powder, ¼ teaspoon salt for taste and the soaked rice to the pot. Stir it well. Add 3 cups of water and cook it until the rice get well cooked or cook until one whistle of cooker. As the cooking is done turn off the flame and rest until the cooker cools down.
Final step before serving: Garnish the spicy, aromatic and delicious briyani rice by the fried onions, fried cashew nuts, fried almonds and some finely chopped coriander leaves. The hot and spicy Chicken Briyani is ready to serve. Enjoy the delicious Meal with some raita or curd and salad.
